Ruthann Baler

Ruthann has a wide range of experience working for financial, legal, and insurance clients throughout the greater Boston area. She previously worked as manager of media relations and publications for the American Automobile Association in Rockland, and was a member of the public relations department at Liberty Mutual Insurance Group in Boston.

During her tenure with AAA from 1988 to 1993, Ruthann was primary spokesperson for the company’s southeastern Massachusetts territory. She provided interviews to print and broadcast media, commenting on travel trends as well as AAA’s lobbying efforts on transportation and insurance issues. As associate editor of AAA World magazine, Ruthann developed editorial and marketing content, writing travel and insurance articles as well as creating promotional copy.

Recent projects include web content, bylined columns, news releases, and brochures through her work at Commonwealth Creative Associates. Clients include Commonwealth National Bank, Mirick O’Connell Attorneys at Law, SBLI Life Insurance Company, and GE Healthcare Financial Services.

Ruthann has also contributed a variety of articles to The Patriot Ledger, The Boston Globe’s South Weekly section, The Boston Parents’ Paper, and The MetroWest Daily News, covering topics on health care, wellness, and family and youth issues. She has also written several bylined columns as well as copy for brochures and other collateral material on behalf of doctors and scientists on a variety of medical and wellness topics. Boston area clients through her work at Commonwealth Creative Associates include Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham, Decision Biomarkers, Hebrew SeniorLife, and Health Dialog.
